Indication: This combination medication contains an antibiotic and drying agent, prescribed for acne.  Benzoyl peroxide allows excess oils and dirt to be easily washed away where as Clindamycin prevents bacterial growth.

Composition:

Each gram contains:

• Clindamycin(as Phosphate)………………1%
• Benzoyl Peroxide…………………………..5%

Pharmacological Action:

• Clindamycin: Clindamycin binds to the 50S ribosomal subunits of susceptible bacteria and prevents elongation of peptide chains by interfering with peptidyl transfer, thereby suppressing protein synthesis.
• Benzoyl : Benzoyl peroxide is a potent oxidizing agent.
