Indication: Infection due to anaerobic pathogens. Amoebic dysentery, liver abscess and other form of amoebic disease. Eradication of E. hystolytica from symptom less cyst passers. Acute ulcerative gingivitis. Trichomoniasis. Non specific vaginitis.

Composition:

Each 5ml contains:

• Metronidazole (as Benzoate)……………………………………………200mg

Pharmacological Action:

• Metronidazole: Metronidazole is a 5-nitroimidazole derivative with activity against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It also has a radiosensitising effect on hypoxic tumour cells. Its mechanism of action is that these organisms reduce the nitro group and generate metabolites that inhibit DNA synthesis.
